For more than 25 years, Mark Gibbs has advised on and developed product and service marketing for many businesses and he has consulted, lectured, and authored numerous articles and books about networking. His areas of expertise include Internet and intranet technology, Web design and technology, software development, electronic commerce, technology analysis, business development and planning, collateral development, and marketing.
Gibbs writes a number of weekly items for Network World including the popular BackSpin and Gearhead columns and the Web Applications Newsletter.
In conjunction with Network World, Gibbs has presented numerous seminars in cities nationwide on the theory and practical business use of Information Technology. Seminar topics have included NetWare, e-commerce, spam, security, and Web technology.
As a consultant Gibbs has advised on the development of products and the design and implementation of product marketing and communications strategies for a diverse range of clients including IDG, Folio Corporation, Global One, Hitachi Computer Products, Acxiom Corporation, American Standard, GAF Chemicals, and Security Dynamics.
