Software should never have been allowed into patent system. Copyright should have been used. The rest of the world uses copyrights (at best, as China and Russia don't seem to have much enforcement - but I'm no expert). US patents of software is becoming a liability for US businesses, in my opinion - what do others think? Especially those who don't understand Open Source.
