Sr. Director Product marketing —

Network World has an immediate opening for a senior director of product marketing. This individual will drive the development of new and enhanced products for Network World, with the goal to launch products and services that are easy to sell and buy and deliver compelling ROI for NWW and our sponsors. The role will report directly to Network World’s publisher and will be responsible for the creation of custom and standard product offerings.

Candidates must have a thorough understanding of marketing disciplines, as well as experience creating and managing multiple, broad-based marketing initiatives. This position requires an effective communicator and presenter who demonstrates attention to detail and strong organizational skills. A solid technical and business understanding of the network and IT space is preferred, though not required. An MBA is a plus.

Specific duties and responsibilities:

  • Working with sales and marketing teams, audience development, production, client services, editorial, key vendors and third party service providers to build and implement the marketing strategy for new products.
  • Create detailed product and system requirements to enable IT and others to develop and launch solutions.
  • Assess the market and use strategic market analysis skills to build a compelling campaign strategy and to motivate the cross functional team to execute tactics against that strategy.
  • Establish strategic customer relationships to facilitate product definition development that includes the voice of the customer.
  • Create messaging and marketing collateral to enhance Network World’s position in the market. Examples of collateral include white papers, customer presentations, sales training presentations, videos, webinars, solution brochures, solution guides, and demos.
  • Drive and manage multiple programs throughout key stages of the marketing lifecycle.
  • Consistently deliver programs on time, on budget, with success tracking (metrics).
  • Present and communicate Network World’s position to customers, partners, industry forums and internal groups.

Network World is seeking an innovative individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join our client services team. The Client Services Manager will work closely with our sales team to manage and provide post-sales support for online advertising campaigns that include lead generation and custom programs. Working in coordination with our advertising operations team, this position will also be responsible for coordinating receipt of online media deliverables, scheduling media , monitoring, analyzing and optimizing programs to ensure above-average success metrics.

The successful candidate must be extremely proactive, sales focused and have strong organization skills with an acute attention to detail. Critical to this position is the ability to work well within a team environment, excellent communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to take ownership of one’s work. 2 year(s) related experience in an online advertising environment a plus.

event registrar & customer service manager — southborough, MA

The Network World Live Conference & Expo group is looking for an energetic, customer-service oriented person to join our team! This position is responsible for all event registration and customer service activities for single and multi-day conferences across our four main brands... IT Roadmap Conference & Expo; The Security Standard, DEMO and Custom events. Specific duties include creating each event in the database, reviewing registrations on a daily basis, managing confirmations, serving as the point person for all customer-service inquiries and creating post-event reports. The candidate will have superior customer service skills, ability to effectively manage many projects, attention to detail and a strong database and event background. Experience with Saleslogix required. Proficiency in MS office suite, a college degree or 2-5 years equivalent experience required.
